A missile strikes close to the Mykolaiv Province’s nuclear plant in Ukraine. Ukraine accused the Kremlin of being behind the strike. Moscow says Russia’s military operation was justified as a response to threats from NATO after Kiev said Russia was conducting “nuclear terrorism” in Ukraine. The incident occurred last Monday.

According to Al-Jazeera, The South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, situated south Mykolaiv at Yuzhnoukrynsk , is an establishment based out of Southern Ukrainian NPP. It was hit by missiles within 300metres of its reactor.

Monday’s strike produced a crater two meters deep and four meters in length with Energowattam — operator of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.
But, the reactors at the Plant remain operational and have not caused any work-place accidents as of yet.

Russia’s campaign in Ukraine is now at almost seven months. Meanwhile the apprehension of yet another radioactive catastrophe arises due to this sabotage close to the nuclear plant.

This nuclear power station in Mykolaiv (the second biggest in Ukraine) . The country’s biggest nuclear power station Zaporizhzhia is located here. This place was already hit a few times.

Lately, Russian forces have been retreating out of certain regions in the Ukraine. Here in this world, the Russian President made an ominous warning at our nation’s targets last Thursday. However, Ukrainian power generation and transmission facilities have been hit since the start of the war by Russian strikes.
