Punjab Police has arrested an army man in Chandigarh University MMS scam. Preliminary investigation revealed that this army man had a love relationship with the girl accused of taking a shower of the girls of the hostel. He himself admitted this in the interrogation.

Indian media India Today quoted police sources as saying that the accused, an MBA student of Chandigarh University and an army man named Sanjeev, were identified through social media.
Later they exchanged phone numbers. Police seized two phones of Sanjeev.

In the Chandigarh University incident, the police learned from the WhatsApp conversations of the main accused student that she used to talk to Sanjeev all the time. They often send each other videos and pictures. However, Sanjeev used to pressure the accused student to record these videos. The student told her boyfriend that she was not comfortable with these activities.

Incidentally, on September 18, intense tension was created in Chandigarh University due to allegations of sharing videos of female students bathing on social media. After the investigation of this incident, the police reported that no such incident happened. However, investigation revealed that two persons named Sunny Mehta and Rankaj Verma used to force the accused to record these videos.

All of them are being interrogated, the police said.
