Iran has attacked Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq. 9 rebels were killed. Al Jazeera published this news about the Kurdish rebels.

Soran Nouri, a member of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan of Iran, said that Iran launched a missile and drone attack on the Koya base, located 60 kilometers east of Erbil, Iraq.

The rebel group is known in Iran by its initials 'KDPI'. The activities of the left-wing armed group are banned in Iran.
Iranian state media IRNA reported that some separatist strongholds were targeted by the Revolutionary Guards. The force has informed that the operation will continue until the threat is removed.

For the past 11 days, anti-hijab protests have been going on in Iran over the death of Masha Amini. Iran blames the incident on Iranian separatist Kurds.
