Iranian-born Nazneen Zaghari cut her own hair

Photo: Iran sentenced Nazneen Zaghari to 6 years in prison

British-Iranian charity worker Nazneen Zaghari Ratcliffe cut her hair in solidarity with the ongoing movement in Iran. According to Al Arabiya news, Nazneen Zaghari Ratcliffe was working as a project manager of Thomson Reuters Foundation. In April 2016, the Iranian government detained him from Tehran airport. Later charges of overthrowing the government were framed against him. Nazneen was sentenced to 6 years in Tehran. After serving the sentence, he went to UK in March this year.

Recently, a young woman named Masha Amini was tortured in the custody of Tehran police for not wearing hijab properly. The 22-year-old Kurdish girl died after staying in the hospital for a few days. Due to this, intense protests have spread in Iran for the past two weeks.
Nazneen cut her hair in support of this protest. Such a scene was seen in a video released by him.

In the video shared by the BBC, Nazneen is seen in front of a blackboard using scissors multiple times. There was something written in Persian on that blackboard.

In the video, Nazneen Ratcliffe can be heard saying with a pair of scissors – for Masha, for Poa, for Mostafa, for Nilufa, for Sepideh, for Nargis, for Mayam, Morad, Siamak, Parisa, her mother, daughter, and all the other prisoners, as she cuts her hair.

Basically, those whose names Nazneen mentions in the video have been arrested by Iranian security forces or killed in recent protests.
