He said that the areas where the holes were found in Denmark and Sweden are under the control of US intelligence.
Maria Zakharova also said that the site is claimed to be in the neutral maritime zone. But this is not correct. The incident occurred within the exclusive economic zone of Denmark and Sweden. These are NATO countries. There is a huge amount of American made weapons. US intelligence has complete control over that region.
At the time, Zakharova recalled a comment by the US authorities at the beginning of this year and said that the US had said that the Nord Stream-2 pipeline made by Russia would never be launched. This Russian diplomat urged US President Biden to answer whether the United States is now implementing the threat.
