Strong Cyclone Fiona has hit eastern Canada. The storm blew down trees and power poles and left hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses without power.
The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said the storm had weakened to Nova Scotia along the Gulf of Lawrence. Trees and power lines were downed in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Fiona began moving about a week ago after making landfall over Puerto Rico and other parts of the Caribbean. It hit between Canso and Guisborough, Nova Scotia on Saturday.
