Police Colonel Chartchai Chanasit said, "We believe that the bomb was placed there since Saturday." However, apart from this, no explosives were found, he said.
Since 2004, the southern region of Thailand has been in conflict. At least 7,000 people have been killed in the conflict. The region is dominated by Muslims and they are demanding autonomy.
