7 people were killed in a roadside explosion in northern Afghanistan. A bus carrying employees of a petroleum company was on its way to Mazar-e-Sharif when a roadside explosion occurred early Tuesday morning. 7 passengers of the bus were killed.
Asif Waziri of Balkh Police Department in Mazar-e-Sharif said that the bomb was buried on the side of the road. The explosion occurred as the bus crossed the road.
The Taliban formed the government in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US troops, ending the 20-year war. Since then they have been promising to ensure security. But the IS Kherson branch has been carrying out major attacks since August.
