According to the report, the Lascar volcano in the Andes mountains of this Latin American country woke up on Saturday (December 10) midnight. Since then, lava and ash have been erupting incessantly. Smoke and gas are reaching up to 20 thousand feet in the sky. Apart from this, there is a slight tremor in the surrounding area.


According to Chile's National Geology and Mining Service, the eruption began after a mild earthquake at around 12:30 p.m. local time on Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued for the entire area in the emerging situation. Public access is prohibited within five kilometers of the volcano. Even airplanes have been banned from using the airspace in the area.


Laskar's last full eruption was in 1993. After this there were signs of awakening in 2006 and 2015. But that time it did not fully emerge. But this time, scientists think, Laskar can take a terrible form. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
