Morocco entered the semi-finals after defeating Portugal 1-0 in the third quarter-final of the World Cup in Qatar. This made the history of the first country in the African continent to go to the semi-finals.

For the first time in the 92-year history of the World Cup, an Arab and African country reached the final four, and the whole of Morocco turned into a festival city. Moroccan footballers are flooded with greetings on social media.

Pakistan's World Cup-winning cricketer and former Prime Minister Imran Khan also tweeted his best wishes to the Moroccan football team in their historic victory over Morocco.

In a tweet on Sunday, Imran Khan said, "Congratulations to Morocco for their victory against the mighty Portugal in the Football World Cup. For the first time an Arab, an African and a Muslim team reached the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup. I wish them success for the next matches.

On December 15, at 1:00 PM Bangladesh time, the world champion France will take on the African team that has reached the last four for the first time.
