Senior Ukrainian military officials claim that Russia is preparing a major attack in the New Year. In an interview with the Guardian, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Ukraine is now able to resist Russian attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Army Chief General Valery Zaluzhny and Infantry Chief Colonel Oleksandr Siriskyi gave similar information in an interview in the Economist this week.
According to the Guardian, Ukraine's Defense Minister Reznikov thinks Russia may launch a major attack in February. On the other hand, the rest of the Ukrainian officials indicated that it could happen in early January.
Ukraine's army chief, Valery Zaluzhny, said that Russia is planning to attack Ukraine with a group of 200,000 troops within the next week. Putin's army launched its first operation in Ukraine last February with an army of 175,000.
However, the army chief of Ukraine believes that it is possible to stop this Russian army. He said, 'They can be suppressed only if there are 300 tanks, 600 armored warships and 500 howitzers.
Valery Zaluzhny said, I can say for sure that Russia will launch another attack on Kiev. He urged Ukrainians to be prepared to face this attack. At the same time, he appealed to the government to supply more weapons.
