Turkey and Azerbaijan are conducting joint military exercises with various special units including the army, navy and air force.
Turkey's Defense Ministry said the drills were being held on the territory of Azerbaijan and were using modern combat equipment and tactics.
The statement of the Ministry of Defense also said that various special units including the Army, Navy and Air Force are participating in this exercise. As part of the exercise, the combined forces of the two countries have been deployed in the cities of Baku, Astara, Jibril and Imishli.
According to military experts, the main goal of this joint exercise between the two countries is military training and testing of Turkish weapons. They believe that Azerbaijan is testing the weapons it has bought from Turkey.
Azerbaijan buys weapons from Turkey and the two countries hold joint military exercises every year.
