The Pentagon has sanctioned Russia for buying drones from Iran. US accuses Russia of buying drones from Iran and using them against Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden's administration has accused Russia's Aerospace Force and Defense Ministry of buying suicide drones from Tehran. However, both Russia and Iran strongly rejected this claim.
John Kirby, spokesman for the American National Security Council, said at the White House on Friday that the ban will be imposed on individuals and organizations that were at the forefront of drone purchases. In this regard, he mentioned the name of the Russian Aerospace Force and the 92nd State Drone Center.
The US has been claiming that Russia has bought various weapons and drones from Iran in violation of sanctions imposed on Tehran. Washington also claims that Russia will arrange mass production by buying drone technology from Iran.
