What is the income of the referee who conducts the match in the World Cup? That question must be on many people's minds. Spanish media AS has now provided a breakdown of referees' earnings.

According to the newspaper, every referee who gets a World Cup call will get 70 thousand dollars as 'basic allowance'. The decision came into effect from the 2018 World Cup. And assistant referees will get 25 thousand dollars as 'basic allowance'.

A match referee earns $3,000 by officiating group stage matches in the World Cup. Get 10,000 dollars by directing matches in playoffs or finals.

The referees earn money from their contracts with FIFA, in addition to match referee fees. A match referee can earn a maximum of three lakh dollars from the tournament if he manages all the matches assigned to him successfully including the final.

In the playoffs or finals, their income is five thousand dollars. An assistant referee can earn up to one and a half million dollars from the tournament by officiating all the matches well.
